Our Work

Empowering students and communities in Melela.

Building Nareto School

Exciting progress is underway at Nareto School, where ten acres of land have been purchased, a water and sewage system installed, and construction of the school has begun. This school is destined to offer a comprehensive learning experience, catering to students from preschool through seventh grade. We are thrilled to announce that the preschool and kindergarten classrooms are complete, along with the construction of a toilet block, ensuring that our youngest learners have a safe and functional learning environment. Volunteers came at the end of 2025 to help us construct a small playground.

Our current projects include:

  • completing the first and second grade classrooms

  • bringing electricity to the school

  • building an administration building

  • continuing construction of the fence

We are partnering with the Matthew 25:35 Foundation and TMS Global to build and run the school. We still have lots of funds to raise to make this dream a reality. Every donation, no matter the size, is a step towards building a brighter future for the children in our community. Together, we can work to eliminate the barriers that prevent children from receiving a high-quality education.

Helping Pastoralists

The Maasai people have long relied on their cattle for sustenance and income, but the challenges of climate change and economic pressures necessitate a shift towards more productive farming practices.

Typical Maasai cattle produce 1-3 liters of milk per day. Sahiwal cattle thrive in the same conditions as the local cattle but grow larger and produce 7-10 liters of milk per day. This substantial increase not only ensures greater nutritional availability for families but also opens doors to improved income opportunities.

Currently, our organization is actively fundraising to purchase 10 Sahiwal cows specifically for women-led households in the area. Each cow represents a beacon of hope—a chance to increase milk production, generate higher income, and provide better nutrition for families.
